Remembering

Remembering

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing a poem with you all today. I hope you enjoy it!

Remembering

In the flickering glow of candlelight
In this gloomy, shadowed space
Hands reach out, searching, feeling
For the contours of my face

These hands, they are made of shadow
And of people and things long gone
Shades made up of remnants
Bits and pieces of a song

They reach out seeking connection
sensing a kinship inside of me
A tether that’s been broken
One that’s severed and set free

Their visits are infrequent now
They were daily in days since past
But time’s turned them into echoes
Just memories that are fading fast

As always, thanks so much for reading my words, I really do appreciate it!

Until next time,

George
