Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well and that you’re all slowly starting to regain some normalcy in your lives (where possible). What a year 2020 has turned out to be so far!
Today, I’m sharing a poem with you all and this one is inspired by a person who means the world to me. Sometimes in life, if we’re lucky, we find that one ‘someone’ who helps to anchor us in reality and this poem is dedicated to mine. I hope you enjoy it!
Anchor
Sometimes heavy clouds descend
covering up my eyes
And in the dark, my mind spins tales
And torments me with lies
Quite often I believe them
But you quickly talk me round
You help to keep me weighted
And keep me anchored to the ground
Without you, I’d have drifted free
And flown too far away
So I am thankful for your presence
Throughout each and every day
As always, Thank you for spending your time with my words, I appreciate it immensely!
Until next time,
George
