Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another festive poem with you today. I hope you enjoy it!
I Remember Christmas
I remember Christmases
Back when I was young
The tree’d be there a’twinkling
With the lights my dad had strung
And I remember all the movies;
We’d watch The muppets on Christmas Eve
Then we’d head up to bed excited
For the gifts we might receive
And I remember jumping up,
In the night to find ‘he’d’ been
Too early to wake my parents
But my siblings were always keen
I remember our Christmas stockings
With a tangerine in the toe
There’d be chocolate, games – maybe a book
And some marbles and dominoes
Mostly, I remember the magic
That lay beyond the living room door
Oh, how I wish I could go back
To all those Christmases of yore!
As ever, thanks so much for reading!
Until next time,
George
