My Favourite Time of Year

Hi everyone, it’s looking very autumnal where I am right now, and I’ve been inspired so I thought I’d share this poem with you all. I hope you’re all having a smashing day!

My Favourite Time of Year

When the nights are drawing in
And only street lamps warm the air
When mornings start off clear and crisp
That’s my favourite time of year

When all the colours begin to fade
But there’s still beauty everywhere
When sleepy trees drop their golden leaves
That’s my favourite time of year

When the evergreens stay ever green
While all the other trees go bare
When fires roar and windows glow
That’s my favourite time of year

When the air is biting cold
And there are scarves and gloves to wear
When you’d rather be at home, all cosy
That’s my favourite time of year

As ever, thank you for stopping by to read my words, it really means a lot!

Until next time,

George
