An Autumn Walk

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well and keeping safe wherever you are! I’m sharing another poem with you today, I hope you enjoy it!

An Autumn Walk

I’d like to take an autumn walk
On a clear and moonlit night
My hands shoved in my pockets
And my neck all wrapped up tight

I’d wander through the creaky woods
And breathe air that’s earthy and sweet
‘Til I chanced upon an appropriate spot
Where I’d stop and take a seat

There, I’d rest and just be still
And listen to the whispering breeze
As it tenderly caressed the branches
Helping them shed their leaves

I’d watch them flutter downward
In shades of gold and red
Drifting softly to the ground
Where they’d form a crunchy bed

Then I’d get up and off I’d go
Along on my merry way
With plans to come and rest again
On another autumn day

As always, thank you very much for reading and spending your time with my words, I very much appreciate it!

Until next time,

George

  1. I hope you get plenty of those walks in the final days and nights of autumn.
