The Dragon in the Keep

The Dragon in the Keep

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing another poem with you today, I hope you enjoy it!

The Dragon in the Keep

Please, sing to me a lullaby
For a dragon is wrecking my keep
His destructive flame draws nearer
And I cannot get to sleep

Once, he watched and guarded well
But now he’s for himself
And I’m left restless – an insomniac
with wavering mental health

I wish he’d simmer down a touch
And temper his fiery rage
for sleep would then return to me
More often in my cage

As always, thank you for spending your time reading my words, you’ll never know how much it means!

Until next time,

George
