Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing another poem today. I hope you enjoy it!
Don’t Ask
Ask me not where I have been
Nor of the troubles that I have seen
And you will lie in slumber, deep
And still, your merry dreams, you’ll keep
Don’t ask about my darkened heart
Or of when this shadowed age did start
And you may carry on your walk
With no need at all to stop and talk
For if you ask me of my life
I may well tell you of my strife
And there you will be stuck all day
As I blather on with too much to say
So keep your questions to yourself
And my answers will stay on the shelf
Then my darkness need not bother you
It’ll remain with me, stuck like glue
As always, thanks so much for reading; it really does mean a lot.
Until next time,
George
