The Big Questions

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all happy and healthy! I’m sharing another poem today, and I hope you enjoy it!

Are there any good people?
Are there any bad?
Or are there just humans beings,
Who’re sometimes happy, sometimes sad?

Are there any right people?
Are there any wrong?
Or are we all a mix of both,
Like harmonies blending in a song?

Are there only two sides?
Is there only black and white?
Or are there shades of grey between –
Shadows mixed within the light?

Should we all be kinder?
Or are we too far gone?
Are we better being selfish,
Or working together, all as one?

Should our lives all be defined
By every single choice we make?
Or should we be allowed to live,
To have regrets and make mistakes?

Aren’t we really all the same?
Just residents of planet earth,
Animals who’re just existing,
In the space between death and birth?

If so, can’t we manage
To give one another respect?
To accept that we’re all human,
And to know that there’s no ‘perfect’?
