
Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! After losing another few hours within the pages of the internet on a search for a collective noun (this time for spaceships – of which there isn’t one), I decided that I’d share another ten of those I find most interesting.

‘Sentence‘ is the collective name for a group of judges. A sentence of judges.
‘Caravan‘ is the term used for a group of travellers. A caravan of travellers.
‘Dynasty‘ is the collective term for a group of kings. A dynasty of kings.
‘Army‘ is the collective name for a group of ants. An army of ants.
‘Bed‘ is the name for a group of oysters. A bed of oysters.
‘Descent‘ is the term used for a group of woodpeckers. A descent of woodpeckers.
‘Pod‘ is the collective term used for a group of peas. A pod of peas.
‘Posse‘ is the name used for a group of policemen. A posse of policemen.
‘Staff‘ is the noun used for a collective of employees. A staff of employees.
‘Walk‘ is the term used for a group of snails. A walk of snails.
