Forewarning

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another poem with you today, and I hope you enjoy it!

Where have all of our forests gone?
Why are our oceans brown?
Why is there so much smog and ash
O’er every city and town?

And where are all of our creatures?
There’s no wildlife anymore.
And the human population
Has plummeted through the floor.

Why is there no more food to eat?
Or anything left to drink?
The earth and all humanity
Are hanging right on the brink!

These are questions we’ll be asking,
When it’s way past far too late.
And I know we’re all so busy,
But let’s make space on our plates!

This will be our reality –
We are already halfway there.
We need to listen to our world,
To be more conscious and aware.

If this is what’s in store for us,
We must find a new solution.
We’ll need to live sustainably,
And stop all the pollution.

We need to become more active,
Though it’s all well and good to say.
The future of our species lies
In how we all behave today.
