Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge: My Unusual Hobbies/Interests

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today is Wednesday, and it’s time for the next post in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. If you’d like to participate in the challenge, you can find the topics for 2025 here, and if you’d like to read other people’s responses to this week’s topic, you can find them here.

My Unusual Hobbies/Interests

Reading About The Titanic
One of my favourite hobbies is reading about and/or watching documentaries about the sinking of the RMS Titanic. I don’t know what it is about the disaster that captures me, but ever since I saw the film in 1997, I was in, and my interest has never waned.

Colouring
I’m not sure this counts as an unusual hobby, but I enjoy colouring in Christmas-y colouring books. My favourite is a “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” colouring book. I find it allows my mind to settle. Whenever I pick up the coloured pencils and begin, I can feel my shoulders slump. A rare occurrence in my life. Lots of adults colour, though, right?

Reading Novelisations
Reading novelisations is something I started doing a few years ago. I love them, even the awful ones (like Grease). Because novelisations are primarily written using original scripts, it’s interesting to compare a completed movie or TV show episode to what was initially intended.

Well, this is post 15! I’m intrigued to learn about some of your unusual hobbies.

As ever, thanks for stopping by and spending time with me today!

Until next time,

George
