Enchanting Nightingale

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all keeping well! I’m sharing a poem with you today, inspired by my inability to sleep lately – as I’m sure is the case for many of us these days. I hope you enjoy it.

Enchanting Nightingale

Dear enchanting nightingale
Please, visit me tonight
Let your sweet song banish all my fears
And protect me until it’s light

And, dear, enchanting nightingale
As your melody fills the night
Let it frighten off the bogeyman
And others who’d wish me fright

Oh, dear, enchanting nightingale
Send your music to my ear
For I’m sure to slumber restfully
Just knowing that you are near

As always, thank you for spending your time here, it means a lot!

until next time,

George
