One More Glass of Wine

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another poem today. I hope you enjoy it.

One more glass of wine should do it—
Erase the whole day away.
I have nothing left to offer;
I’ve nothing more to say.

The ruby liquid soothes the soul,
Deleting memories stored,
Of all the glasses I’ve consumed—
All the bottles poured.

When sober thoughts come crashing in,
To remind me of my need—
I pour a drink to numb the sting
And sip until I’m freed.
