Who Wants to Live Forever

Who wants to live forever,
And watch time keep ticking by
As the world grows ever older
And those dear to you age and die?

Who wants to live forever
And not experience old age?
Who wants to watch the human race
Fight each new war we wage?

Who wants to live forever
And not appreciate precious time?
I’d rather live for the moment
And live life in its prime

I don’t want to live forever
But I hope my life is long
I hope I live an exciting life
‘fore it’s time for my swan song
