Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. We are well into the spooky season now, and since Halloween is just around the corner, I thought I’d share a ‘spooky’ inspired poem with you. I hope you enjoy it!
Halloween
The thinning veil between the worlds
Comes down on Halloween,
And all the ghouls come out to play,
‘Cause tonight they can be seen!
And witches brew their awful brews,
And vampires stalk the night,
Waiting, and watching, and wanting
A lovely neck to bite!
There are many nasties waiting
To give you an awful scare,
To make your tummy summersault,
To put white in your hair,
So while you’re out a’wandering,
Late on All Hallows Eve,
Chanting out all your “trick or treats”,
Be quick and take your leave.
For, if you’re spotted dallying
By a spook, shade or sprite,
You might be carried far away
To feed their appetite!
Thank you, as ever, for reading my words. It really means a lot. Have a happy and safe Halloween, everyone!
Until next time,
George

Thank you, Sally! May I suggest a bulb of garlic worn around your neck? … or perhaps aligning with a local vampire slayer? Failing that… don’t invite them in! 🧛♂️🦇
