Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today, I am sharing another poem with you, and while this one is a little sad (I know, shocker), it’s also a little hopeful. I hope you enjoy it.
A Thought of You Each Day
One day they was vibrant colour,
And the next day, there was none.
All things were now in shades of grey
And dulled because you had gone.
And with you went all the birdsong,
And the scent of ev’ry flower.
Time had become unbearable,
Each moment now an hour.
But now and then, there are flashes –
Little sparks of shining gold,
When memories start to surface
And start warming up the cold.
Monochrome will just have to do –
For the moment, anyway.
But the world gets ever brighter,
With a thought of you each day
Thank you, as ever, for spending time with me and my words today. I really do appreciate it.
Until next time,
George

I know this may sound morbid but this would be lovely for a funeral. So simple to read But thoughtful, meaningful and gentle in tone .
