Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing another little poem with you, and since it’s almost Halloween, I thought I’d share one inspired by another particularly creepy episode of sleep paralysis. I hope you enjoy it!
Faces in the Window
There are faces in my window
I can see them from my bed
They just hover there and stare at me
No body or neck, just head
They’re blank in their expressions
As they seem to mouth my name
They don’t attempt to get inside
But they’re scary just the same
These faces are unknown to me
But that’s not what chills my core
It’s more that I can see them
And yet I’m on the second floor
They come each night with darkness
And they’re back-lit by the moon
Then they slowly fade as sunlight comes
But they’ll return again all too soon
As ever, thank you for reading my words, it really means a lot.
Until next time,
George
