Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing another poem with you today, I hope you enjoy it!
Where has all the time gone?
It’s like, yesterday I was five
Jumping in muddy puddles
Not even knowing I was alive
I lived within the moment
I looked no further than the day
And my only thoughts concerned bedtime
And how long left there was to play
Boy, do I miss those moments
Of not having a single care
Of laughing until your ribs hurt
And of days out at the fair
Gone are the days of carefree life
And hide and seek with friends
When you’re young you just don’t know it
And then, all too soon, it ends
For, in a flash, you’re all grown up
With rent and electric bills
And life becomes so busy
With no time to just stand still
I wish things could slow down a bit
But only by a fraction
So I could take in every second
And savour all of the action
As always, thanks so much for reading, I really do appreciate it!
Until next time,
George
