Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well and managing to keep some focus in this world that’s growing ever crazier by the day. I’m sharing another poem today; I hope you enjoy it.
Life Don’t Give Me Lemons
Life, don’t give me lemons.
I hate the way they taste.
I’m tired of making lemonade
And it all just goes to waste
I don’t like all the bitterness.
The flavour is too tart.
It overloads my senses,
Souring my heart
Life, don’t give me lemons.
For I can’t hold any more
The overbearing weight of them
Pulls me closer to the floor
So life, don’t give me lemons.
Let living be a treat.
I’d rather you gave me tangerines instead,
‘Cause tangerines are sweet
As always, thank you for reading my words. It means the world!
Until next time,
George
