The Words

29 Mar 2022 9:00 am

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another poem with you today, I hope you enjoy it!

The Words

Sometimes, the words don’t come
Because I don’t know what to say
Thoughts abound within my skull
But they form fast then fly away

Sometimes the words don’t come
‘Cause right and wrong words do not jive
Sometimes right words wrongly spoken
Can help a conflict live and thrive

Sometimes the words don’t come
Because I kill them dead
Words made of hurtful, spiteful thoughts
That never should be said

Sometimes the words don’t come
Because I am so scared to opine
Afraid that some may shut me down
For stepping out of line

But sometimes, the words do come
When good words and thoughts just gel
And my thoughts untangle and slow right down
So I can articulate them well

As always, thanks for spending some of your time here with me today.

Until next time,

George
