One Day, I Will not be Here

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another poem with you today, and I hope you enjoy it.

One Day I Will not be Here

One day, I will not be here
My footprints will have washed away
My body will have turned to ash
Which will mingle with the clay

And though the earth will feel me
And embrace me for all time
Of those who might remember me
Their number will decline

And soon there will be no one
Who might recollect my name
No one to recall my face
Or to have knowledge of my pain

But still, the world will hold me
The air whispering my words
Heard by not a single soul
‘Cept for the butterflies and birds

As always, thank you for reading my words!

Until next time,

George
