Rest, Now

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing another poem today. I hope you like it.

Lie down now, the day’s been long
It’s time to take your rest
You’ve struggled harder than anyone
And you’ve really tried your best

Lie down now, there’s nowt to do
It’s all been said and done
All of the battles have been fought
And all the important ones are won

Lie down now, It’s time to sleep
So under the moon’s silvery beam
Close your tired, weary eyes
‘Cause all that’s left to do is dream
