Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well and that the part of the world you’re living in is crawling back to some level of normality. I’m sharing a poem with you today, I hope you enjoy it!

Be Kind

Kindness is not an obscurity
It’s not just an abstract notion
It’s not conjured from the ether
By some exotic magic potion

It’s a thing that is innate in us
It is made freely deep within
It’s always simmering underneath
Where it bubbles up to the skin

It takes effort to ignore it
It’s hard to push it down
It’s easier to let it form a smile
than to suppress it with a frown

And we need it now, more and more
That kindness from below
So be friendly, and compassionate
And let your giving spirit show

Kindness is contagious
And if we all just shared a bit
The world would be a better place
And we all could benefit

So be kind to everybody
It’s really not hard at all
And every act of kindness counts
From large to very small
