Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing a poem today, I hope you enjoy it!
Back, when I was younger
And the world was younger too
The haze of carefree childhood
Hid reality from my view
There was little to be afraid of
Save for the shadows in the dark
And worries were not of climate change
But of staying longer the park
I knew nothing of the economy
Or the price of food and drink
And about staying up an extra hour
Was of all that I could think
Growing up seemed so distant
Uncountable years away
Time stretched into forever
I was just living for the day
But all too soon the world was real
The growing up had started
And the woes of adulthood lay ahead
On a road still to be charted
As always, thanks so much for reading my words! It really means a lot.
Until next time,
George
