Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today is Wednesday, meaning it’s time for another post in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. One of my Pet Peeves

So, I know I’m supposed to talk about “one” of my pet peeves; however, as you’re about to discover, that was incredibly difficult.

So, let’s begin:

Bigots
I despise bigotry in all its forms, and there seems to me so much of it lately. I really do lie awake at night sometimes wondering why we can’t all accept one another for our differences and live in peace and kindness. It feels like such a big ask, but it shouldn’t be.

Bad Manners
It costs absolutely nothing to say “please” and “thank you”. It’s really simple. And while we’re on the subject, it’s also free to admit when you’ve done or said something wrong and apologise.

People not Tidying up After Themselves
Messiness gets under my skin. What’s worse is when people come into a room like a hurricane and leave without undoing the destruction. It’s not hard to wash a dish, or a glass or a spoon after you’ve used it, or to put a video game or DVD back on the shelf (we’re very millennial and still buy DVDs in this house).

People Calling Me When a Text Would Do
I’m not a phone call sort of person. I mean, I will talk to you on a call if it’s necessary—but generally speaking, it’s not. A text is often a far more efficient use of both our time.

People Talking to Me While I’m Watching a Compelling TV Show
I don’t get a lot of time to relax and watch TV, and when I do, I need to fully engage so I can enjoy it. But I’m married to a man who will often choose the “wrong” moment to talk to me about football. Or Pokémon. Or Yu-Gi-Oh. Or Grand Theft Auto (the game, not the crime). Do I listen? Yes, because I love him and I’m polite to a fault. Do I like it? NO!

I’m actually gonna have to stop because I couldn’t quite literally be here all day. Many things in this wonderful world of ours irritate me, and none of us has the time to sit here while I list them all.
