Lines

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another poem with you today, and I hope you enjoy it!

Lines

The lines on our faces are proof of smiles,
They are proof of happier times—
Proof that smiles are possible,
Even though you might’ve forgotten how.

Lines show our age, and they show our wisdom.
They show the privilege of life.
They are proof that you’ve survived,
Even though, at times, you thought you wouldn’t.

Lines display all the struggles of our world.
They’re proof that you’ve fought hard.
They’re like rings on a tree stump;
A marvel that some don’t get to grow.

Thanks, as always, for reading my words. It means a lot!

Until next time,

George

  1. Absolutely beautiful—there’s something so comforting about the way you’ve turned something as simple as lines on a face into a celebration of life, wisdom, and resilience. Really makes you pause and appreciate all the little victories along the way.
