Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today is Wednesday, and it’s time for another post in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. If you would like to participate in the challenge, you can find the list of topics for 2024 here, and if you would like to read other people’s responses to this week’s topic, you can do that here.
A Sport I Want to Try
As many of you will know, I don’t like sport. I never have. Saying that, however, I feel like I would enjoy scuba diving (is that a sport?) I enjoy swimming, but I panic when my feet can’t touch the floor with my head above water (a delightful leftover trauma response to almost drowning as a child), but with oxygen, I don’t think I’d be afraid of drowning. I often dream of being underwater and swimming with dolphins and fish.
I’d also love to try Zero-G sports on the moon or Mars. I know that doesn’t exist yet, but I bet it would be fun. I’ve spent time on trampolines and bouncy castles in my life, and those are very exciting. I figure zero gravity must feel, in some way, similar to that feeling of bouncing without hurting yourself.
Well, that’s enough from me for today, though I’m looking forward to reading all your posts.
Thank you, as ever, for spending time here with me today. It means the world.
Until next time,
George

You know, you might really dig that parachute simulator thingy where you “float”. I don’t like that floaty feeling. It’s why I don’t enjoy roller coasters. No. Thanks. LOL I’ve tried SCUBA. I’m not good at it. I wish I were. Hubby is dive certified and loves it.

I am with you on many of these! I’d love to be in the water, seeing all the water creatures from their own level. Unlike you, though, I think I would most definitely panic if I were relying on an air tank to breathe! I do love the idea of swimming with dolphins though. There are so many amazing stories about dolphins playing with people or even helping them when they’re stranded in the water. Amazing animals. I love turtles as well – one of my favourite memories is wading in the ocean in Hawai’i and seeing a huge sea turtle drift past. I haven’t heard of zero-g sports, but man, that does sound super fun!

I love turtles! Yes, I’ve read that dolphins can be playful and seals, as well. Zero gravity sports aren’t a thing yet… but perhaps one day! 🙂🙂

I love swimming, and I’ve been snorkeling which is a lot of fun but the idea of relying on scuba makes me panic and forget how to breathe 😦
Zero grav sports sounds an amazing idea – all the plus sides of sport without having to worry about being able to move!

I too think Zero G sports would be out of this world!
I swim a lot but have never scuba dived, but friends have done so off the coast of tropical islands and their descriptions of flora and fauna they encountered sounded amazing.
