Hi everyone! I hope you’re well. Today is Wednesday, and it’s time for another post in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. If you’d like to join in the challenge, you can find the topics for 2026 here. If you would like to read other people’s responses to this week’s topic, you can find them here.
A Typical Day in My Life
This is going to be rather dull… but here we go.
I wake up at 5am because I have certain medications that must be staggered. I have coffee and water while I check the news (making sure the world didn’t end in the night, and I didn’t realise).
At 8am, I have my porridge (my favourite part of the day, I used to tell myself I hated porridge… along with everything else, but it turns out that was the anorexia talking. I actually love it.)
While I eat and drink my next bucket of coffee and glass of water, I watch yesterday’s “The View” on YouTube. It doesn’t air over here, so I’m glad they’ve started putting episodes online.
At 9, I complete chores and get on with some work. Hopefully, it’s research for something I’m writing because that’s my favourite part of the process. Editing is the worst.
I eat lunch at 12—with more coffee and water, then it’s back to work.
I only recently started eating an evening meal again, much to the relief of my husband, my medical team… and I suppose, me. So I eat my tea at around 4pm (the rest of the world would call this meal dinner; we don’t in the North of England. I’m not sure why.)
I’ll work for a few more hours and then catch up on some tv or read.
Then I go to bed at 10pm and rinse and repeat.
Basically, that’s my day unless I have medical appointments. It’s always the same unless I have appointments or meetings, which is how I like it. I hate having my routine disrupted.
Anyway, that’s enough outta me for post 20.
As always, thanks for reading today’s post!
Until next time,
George
