Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today is Wednesday, and it’s time for the next post in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. If you’d like to participate in the challenge, you can find the topics for 2025 here, and if you’d like to read other people’s responses to this week’s topic, you can find them here.
10 Unusual Things About Me
I don’t know if there are 10 unusual things about me. Let’s see if I can think of some.
1 – I love Christmas trees.
2 – I enjoy reading novelisations.
3 – Sometimes, I sing in gibberish while I’m wandering around the house or making coffee.
4 – I’ve learned to really love porridge.
5 – I like reading about mythical creatures such as mermaids, unicorns and dragons.
6 – I’ve seen every episode of every Star Trek series multiple times (TNG is my favourite).
7 – I enjoy hot chocolate, but only when it’s cooled. It just tastes better (and yes, it’s different to chocolate milk, I dunno why).
8 – I love cats, but I am very allergic to them. I’m sure my sister’s cats sense this because they seem very drawn to me, even though I try to stay away from them.
9 – My second toe is slightly longer than my big toe on each foot.
10 – Circling back to number 1, I put my Christmas tree up at the same time every year: the 24th of October.
Look at that! There are 10 unusual (ish) things about me! Although, this post took some real ponderin’.
Well, this has been post 15! Let’s see what’s unusual about all of you!
As ever, thanks for stopping by and spending time with me today!
Until next time,
George

Hey George. I didn’t have time to participate today but that doesn’t mean I can’t read all the weird things about everyone 🙂
Let’s see…I’ve seen every episode of Star Trek but not multiple times.
And about your toe…that might be TMI
Sorry, could help but tease you.

I’m very allergic to cats as well! I don’t think I’ve ever had cooled hot chocolate.

The hot (cold) chocolate is basically like chocolate milk despite what I said, just with a less creamy taste. I think that’s why it’s different. I make mine with water. I don’t know why, but it just tastes better.

Porridge is just oatmeal. I grew up thinking I hated it… turns out I love it. I’ve been missing out. ‘Grippers’ run in my family too! 🙂

Great list, George! I so relate to numbers 1, 3 & 8. Last year, four of the Christmas trees made it up. The most we have ever had is 12, which included the outdoor ones. Star Trek and The Next Generation were amazing. You’ve got it right: hot chocolate and chocolate milk are not the same at all. Thanks for sharing today.
