Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well! Today, I’m sharing yet another festive poem with you. This one ended up having a whole other life than I had intended and wound up getting reworked a little, eventually becoming my children’s book ‘Ethel the Jolly Christmas Elf‘. I hope you enjoy it!

Helpful Elves

Christmas elves are incredible folk,
They’re helpful through and through!
If you’re ever in a Christmas bind,
Then, no one else will do!

They’ll decorate your tree for you,
And wrap gifts of any shape.
They’re equipped with their own paper, too!
And have lots of tags and tape!

An elf will help you bake a cake,
And cookies to have with tea.
There’s no toy or treat they cannot make,
And they’re always so full of glee!

They’ll help and help and help some more,
To make sure no plan’s left askew,
And then they’ll rest a minute – or four,
When there’s nothing else left to do.

And when they’re sure you’ll reach your goal,
Of a perfect Christmas day,
They’ll head back home to the North Pole,
To send Santa on his way!
