Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well and that you’ve had a wonderful Christmas! I’m sharing another little poem with you today and I hope you enjoy it!
When Christmas is Over
I hate it when Christmas is over.
What do you do with the cheer?
Do I pack it away with the ornaments
Ready to trot out next year?
And what about all of that sparkle?
Why do we take our trees down?
Why is it only in winter months
That we gussy up all of our towns?
What about all those warm feelings?
What do I do now with those?
Suppress them until they frost over
And thaw them next year, I suppose?
I hate it when Christmas is over.
It really is such a short day.
Christmas should last for at least half the year,
And it would if I had my way!
As always, thank you for taking the time to read my words, it really does mean a lot!
Until next time,
George

It’s sad that it takes a holiday for people to bring on the cheer. Enjoyed your poem.
