Hello, Yellow Moon!

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I’m sharing another poem with you today. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello, Yellow Moon!

Hello again dear yellow moon
A very long time, no see
I’ve spent so long looking at the ground
I’d forgotten how warm you could be

And hello my friends, the shining stars
Set high up in the midnight sky
There’ve been so many yesterday’s
Since last your twinkle caught my eye

Hello again my midnight breeze
How long since you’ve kissed my cheek
How long since you last enveloped me
And soothed me when my thoughts were bleak?

Hello again to all of you
I’ve searched inwardly for far too long
I’d forgotten that calm can be found at night
Forgotten where I belonged

But now, I’m back and facing outward
And I’m sitting with the dark
And I allow myself to feel the black
So that I can tell when there’s a spark

As always, thank you for reading my words, it really means a lot!

Until next time,

George
