Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today is Wednesday, and it’s time for another post in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. Favourite Memory From My Childhood
One of my favourite childhood memories is waking up on Christmas morning when I was about six or seven. I can remember finding it very difficult to sleep because I was excited for what Father Christmas might bring—and when I woke (at around 2 a.m., much to my parents’ annoyance) I felt the little weight of my Christmas stocking (which was one of my dad’s army socks stuffed with a few toys and a satsuma) lying at the bottom of the bed.
Another favourite memory is when I got to go to Spain for the first time with my friend and his Aunt, who lived in Scotland. I was thirteen, and we took a coach from Glasgow, all the way down the UK and across to France. From there, we drove to Spain. It was the first time I’d been out of the country, and we had a great time. We went in the off-season, and the caretaker of the hotel next to our apartment complex let us use the swimming pool. It was a great time, made better by the massive thunderstorms that occurred while we were there. I love thunderstorms, and this one did not disappoint.
I’m intrigued to know what some of your favourite childhood memories are.
Anyway, thank you, as ever, for taking the time to read my words. I really appreciate you!
Until next time,
George
