Wintry Days of Yore

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well! Can you believe we’re in December again?! Time seems to be just zipping by! Anyway, I’m sharing a poem with you today, and I hope you enjoy it!

Wintry Days of Yore

We used to have winter wonderlands,
Landscapes thick with snow,
Trees asleep in blankets of white—
But that was so long ago.

We used to see frosted-up windows,
Icicles hanging from frames—
We used to see hoards of children
Engaging in snowy games.

But now our winters are milder,
And heavy snowfall, so rare.
One day, snow may not fall at all,
And that would just be unfair!

Our winters are slowly warming;
Still cold, but not like before,
When we could build snowmen daily,
In those wintry days of yore.

So enjoy the snow when we have it,
Who knows how long it will last?
Go out and have a snowball fight,
Before they’re a thing of the past.

Thank you, as always, for reading my words!

Until next time,

George
