Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today is Wednesday, and it’s time for the next post in the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. A Celebrity I’d Like to Meet
Five celebrities come to mind that I hold in high regard, although I think I’d feel far too insecure and self-conscious to ever speak to them if they passed me on the street.
They are:
Stephen Fry
Stephen Fry appears to be a lovely human being. He’s incredibly smart, seems incredibly kind and is very honest and open about his mental health struggles. Something I wish more celebrities were, if only because it helps people like me not to feel like such an alien when our brains start to malfunction.
Catherine Tate
Catherine Tate got me through some tough times in my late teens. Her comedy, while not to everyone’s taste, helped me a great deal.
Winona Ryder
I’ve been awed by this lady’s talent. From Beetlejuice to Stranger Things, I’ve believed every performance she’s given. As Joyce Byers in Stranger Things, I found her to be so compelling. I kept looking over at my husband, saying, “I fully believe her child has gone missing!” My heart broke for her.
Lucy Worsley
Lucy is a historian, author and presenter. She was the joint chief curator at Historic Royal Palaces for many years but has since moved on from the role. She makes history so accessible. I love her presenting style; she often dresses up in the clothing of the period she’s discussing and gets involved in showing how things were done and made during that time. I think it’s such a talent to make something that can be mundane, riveting.
One of my favourite series she presents is “Lucy Worsley’s Royal Myths & Secrets”.
David Tennant
I’ve been a fan of David Tennant since he took over the role of The Doctor in Doctor Who, beginning with The Christmas Invasion in 2005. Since then, he has appeared in numerous films, TV shows and plays. One of my favourites is his role in Jessica Jones, where he played the most vile of characters, proving he can do just about anything. By all accounts, he’salso a really lovely guy, as well.
Well, that’s post 17!
As ever, thanks for stopping by and reading today’s post.
Until next time,
George
