Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well! I am sharing another poem with you today, and I hope you enjoy it.
Accepting Insecurities
I don’t like how my face looks
Under any kind of light,
And how the angle of my toes
Make my shoes a little tight.
I hate how much I feel need,
And how reliant I can be,
And I hate my deep obsession
With punctuality.
I don’t like how there’re grey hairs
Now mixed with the blond and red,
And I loath that just to see things,
I need apparatus on my head.
But even at this stage of life,
I’m learning to be aware
That accepting insecurities
Is a form of self-love and care.
Thank you, as ever, for stopping by to read my words. It really does mean a lot.
Until next time,
George
