Autumn’s Slow Approach

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another poem with you today, and I hope you enjoy it!

I wait on autumn’s slow approach,
Its coolness brushing summer’s heat,
The hush that gathers overhead,
The crunch beneath my feet.

The heavy air of August wanes,
The sky becomes sharp and clear;
As golden sunlight paints the ground,
My season’s almost here.

The trees prepare their grand display,
A show of amber, rust, and flame;
I ache to see the world this way—
Changed, yet beautiful just the same.
