Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge: Humorous Book Titles

Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. It’s time for the Wednesday Weekly Blogging Challenge hosted by Long and Short Reviews. You can find the list of topics for 2026 here if you’d like to take part, or you can read what others are saying about today’s topic here.

Humorous Book Titles

This was a tough one! I ran through my mind-Rolodex of books I’ve read over the years, and the following is what I came up with.

The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee by Sarah Silverman
I love Sarah Silverman. Her comedy is so stupidly smart and witty. I know some find her humour childish, and that’s fair, but I love how she’s been able to hang onto that silly side of her personality into her 50s.

Go the F*ck to Sleep by Adam Mansbach
This book is simply hilarious. It’s described as a bedtime story for grown ups—and I must say, when my nephew was small and would be lying in his bed yelling out random questions, or asking for a drink, or saying he needed the toilet for the twentieth time in a minute, I found my self saying this exact thing repeatedly (though in my head and nout out loud).

Cooking With Pooh: Yummy Tummy Cookie Cutter Treats by Marlene Brown
When we were children, my sister had a collection of ‘Winnie the Pooh’ books, and this was one of them. As you can imagine, our childish brains latched on to the title and ran with it. It’s one of the best, I think!

And while we’re on the subject of Pooh… how about this one?

Pooh Gets Stuck by Isabel Gaines
This was another Winnie the Pooh book floating (pun not intended… but, wow!) around our house growing up. Why do kids (and adults) find toilet humour so funny?

So, this was post three.

As always, thank you for taking the time to read this post!

Until next time,

George
