Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today, I’m sharing another poem with you. I hope you enjoy it.
Sadness
Absence doesn’t make hearts fonder;
It just fills them up with pain,
And when absences stretch too long,
Sadness sets in with the strain.
And sadness lasts for a lifetime,
Of course, it hides itself well;
It curls up deep inside your heart,
And uses it as a shell.
Sadness makes the heart grow brittle;
It rattles around in grief,
Breaking the heart to pieces,
With no sign of sweet relief.
As ever, thanks for stopping by to read my words.
Until next time,
George
