Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing another poem with you today, and I hope you enjoy it.
Closing Time?
There will one day come a time
When the leaves on trees don’t bud
A time when bees stop buzz-a-buzzing
‘Cause flowers don’t bloom like they should
The sky will have no blue left
And the sun will feel too hot
And we’ll all wish we could move away
But Earth’s the only home we’ve got
There’ll be droughts across the world
‘Cause the rivers will be dry
And we’ll never see the stars again
‘Cause smog’ll shield them from our eyes
And ’cause the bees will be gone
The world’s food supply will shrink
And we’ll no doubt all be wondering
Why we’re all standing on the brink!
But, alas, there is still time
To prevent things getting bleak
We just need to reevaluate
The kind of future we all seek
Thank you, as always, for spending time with me today. I really do appreciate it!
Until next time,
George
