Present Christmas

Take a moment this Christmastime
To appreciate the day
Look at those around you
And record all they do and say

Embed them in your memory
And hug them all real tight
Be present in the happiness
And put away old fights

Christmases are all too few
And one day will be our last
So let’s focus on the here and now
And leave history in the past
