Will You Watch the Super Bowl? Why or Why Not?
The quick answer to this is “No.”
As many of you who read my posts regularly will no doubt have gleaned… I am not a sporty person at all. In fact, I think certain sports, such as football, are blown way out of proportion. I have a neighbour who yells at the TV when there’s football on. You’d think someone was holding his puppy hostage and threatening harm.
I just think all the fuss over “sports ball” is a little much. It’s literally some people throwing a piece of leather back and forth (for the Americans) and kicking a piece of leather back and forth in England. Each to their own, I suppose, but I could certainly live without the screaming and crying and aggressive behaviour some fans partake in, just because someone on an opposing team scored a goal…
But anyway. There’s not much hunger for the Super Bowl in the UK. But even if there was, it’s not for me.

I’m not into sports for the most part (baseball excepting – it has a weird nostalgic hold on m — but I watch the SB just to party with friends. The only one I’ve missed since 2012 was when I was in the hospital for transplant eval back in 2021.

I’m with you on football, George. Hockey is way more interesting anyway. 🙂 I could also do without the aggressive behavior from fans.
