Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing a poem with you today, inspired by a gorgeous cherry tree that used to stand right outside our window.
Lament For A Cherry Tree
A beauty, taken all away,
A delight I’ll see no more.
Such a wonder made by nature
I have never seen before.
No place for birds to make a home,
No more soughing of the breeze.
No cherries hanging on branches,
Nothing more to feed the bees.
No leaves to shade on sunny days,
No blossoms to turn a frown.
No pink and white to brighten hearts,
Because they’ve gone and cut you down.
Thank you, as ever, for stopping by to read my words. It really means a lot.
Until next time,
George
