Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. Today, I am sharing another poem with you. I hope you enjoy it.
Stealthy Like a Shark
You’re sneaky, but I see you there,
Hiding within the dark,
Lurking with such big eyes and teeth,
And stealthy like a shark.
I can sense you growing closer,
Circling round and round,
There’s no escape or place to hide,
‘Cause we’re forever bound.
But sometimes, I can stall the kill,
Placating you with tricks,
Allowing me to fortify,
With denser, stronger bricks.
However, there will come a day,
As always is the case,
You’ll smash down all my defences,
And wrap me in your embrace.
And for a while, that’s where I’ll stay,
Flattened, scared, and subdued,
But then I’ll wrench myself away,
My tenacity renewed.
Thank you, as always, for reading my words. It means a lot!
Until next time,
George
