Hi everyone, I hope you’re all well! I hope you’re all enjoying the holiday season, wherever you are and whatever you’re doing! Today, I’m sharing a poem with you which was inspired by this ending year. I hope you enjoy it!
Old Man New Year is getting on,
He’s ready to retire.
He’ll have a drink and warm his feet,
Once more, beside the fire.
He’ll look into his memory,
Thinking upon the past,
And he’ll cherish ev’ry moment,
The first until the last.
He’s weathered lots throughout his life,
And now he needs to rest.
And though things haven’t been perfect,
He really tried his best.
So, Let’s toast to Old Man New Year,
And sing him on his way!
Let’s cheer and dance and celebrate
His rebirth on New Year’s Day!
