Hi everyone! I hope you’re all well. I’m sharing a poem with you today. I hope you enjoy it.
Soothed
I’m soothed by rain on window panes
And by deepest darkest night
And I’m calmed by thick and crunchy snow
And the glow of Christmas lights
I’m soothed by gentle arms that hug
And by cosy duvet days
And I’m calmed by steaming coffee
And a lover’s loving ways
I’m soothed by words of wisdom
And by books that seed my dreams
And I’m calmed by clear and starry skies
And by gentle bubbling streams
But above all else that soothes me
Of which there are many things
I’m calmed by two black, tungsten bands
That we call our wedding rings
Thank you, as ever, for taking the time to read my words. It really means a lot.
Until next time,
George
